When SAG announced they would strike back on July 14th, it took the town by surprise. Productions were shocked, caught flat-footed, with no contingency plans. Everyone assumed the WGA would strike, but no one took SAG seriously. When the WGA struck a deal with studios several weeks ago, entertainment journalists all said, “SAG will settle quickly.”
No one expected SAG-AFTRA to strike. Fewer expected them to negotiate.
Stay strong, y'all! 💪🏿
