Netflix and HBO need to start releasing the first two episodes of their biggest shows in movie theaters. I got to see the first 2 episodes of 1899 in an IMAX and it was incredible.
So many epic shows are being watched on mediocre Tv screens with bad sound. Why whyyy whyyyy aren’t we getting the option to see these in theaters before the episodes drop on streaming? Imagine if Stranger Things had first done a limited theater run. It would have been great for super fans.
Audiences will go, and people will love it. I didn't expect to be blown away, wondered why I was even going and then was totally blown away and couldn't wait to see the full series.
I mean, Netflix doing any sort of theatrical component is out of the question. They're just philosophically against it. I just discovered a movie called "They cloned Tyrone" and am dying to see it on the big screen. The trailer looks VERY up my alley. But, there's no theatrical for it. I do believe they are leaving money on the table.
Wow I had no idea on the subtext of the film. Now I have to go see it.
Let me know what you think!
Also loved the “push” campfire scene in Barbie.

Guess not, cause multiple Netflix episodes aired at Tiff last year. As did Hulu shows.
Like, watching TV in movie theaters shouldn’t just be for rich people with home theaters. It should be for everyone.
